KZ Tandingan performs "Tadhana" as a tribute to her ultimate musical hero, Up Dharma Down (UDD).

During her Roadshow stint, the Soul Supreme shared her moving story of how UDD became one of her biggest music influences. She started singing as a child, but had to stop when she was in high school after suffering from a throat problem. She shared that she almost quit singing altogether because she can't hit high notes anymore. That was until her best friend made her listen to a song from an up-and-coming band that time -- which was UDD's hit song titled "Oo".

The band's amazing approach to music inspired her to return to what she loved doing the most -- and soon, she started performing again.

And her passion and hard work soon paid off. KZ's unique vocal stylings and prowess paved the way to her phenomenal stardom.

STORYLINE:

Philippine action film star and presidential candidate Fernando Poe Junior, who refused to concede May's presidential election, died early Tuesday after suffering a stroke and slipping into a coma, his doctor said.

He was 65 years old.

Poe died at St. Luke's Hospital, where he was rushed late Saturday after complaining of dizziness while dining and drinking with friends.

He later slipped into a coma as doctors tried to use drugs to clear a blood clot in his brain.

His condition gradually worsened Monday, Poe's doctor, Abdias Aquino, told reporters.

Poe's wife, actress Susan Roces, issued a statement thanking Filipinos for praying for her husband, referring to him by two of his nicknames.

"We are indebted to your being with him in the face of the challenges in the life of Ronnie. The Filipino people are in FPJ's heart."

Poe's fellow actors and politicians rushed to the lobby of the hospital as the news of his death spread.

Some wept as they went in.

One of Poe's two daughters, Mary Grace, flew in from Los Angeles, but arrived minutes after her father passed away, TV networks reported.

The reclusive film star reluctantly agreed to become the opposition's main challenger to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in the May 10 election but lost by 1.1 (m) million votes.

Two months later, Poe asked the Supreme Court to nullify Arroyo's victory and declare him the country's leader, accusing her party of committing massive electoral fraud.

Arroyo's camp denied any wrongdoing and expressed confidence the Supreme Court would eventually throw out Poe's protest, which traditionally takes years to resolve.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo called her rival "a worthy adversary in politics and a great Filipino."
